Common questions

How do I log in?
After signing up you received a ‘Welcome’ email along with the link to your personal page and a password.

Upload
From your personal page (see above) choose ‘Upload’ from the menu on the right. You can also use iSyndica with Arctic Stock Images making distribution a whole lot easier.

Rejections
All images go through an approval procedure. If one of your images is rejected you will be notified by email. Rejections may be because of artifacting, aesthetics or that the subject is already very well covered on Arctic Stock Images.

Typical rejection reasons
- artifacts or noise
- bad exposure/lighting
- horizon not level
- similar images; only slight difference in camera angle or subject posture
- no commercial value

Profile image and info
To change your profile image and/or description choose ‘Edit your profile’ from your personal page.

Statistics and sales
Your basic statistics are available on your personal page. You will also receive an email whenever an image sells. More advances statistics are comming.

“Exclusive” sales
You have the option to accept “exclusive” and/or “partner” sales during the upload of an image. If your image sells in any of theese ways you will have to remove that image from all stock sites or anywhere else you have the image for sale. The image is automatically removed from Arctic Stock Images. The buyer has comlete rights over the image and can use, modify or resell it anyway they want.

Earnings and payouts
Whenever one of your images sell you earn a 50% commission. From “exclusive” sales you make a 75% commission. We may change our prices and purchase options in the future, but our commission rates will always be the same.

Payouts are by default handled via PayPal. You have to earn a minimum of $25 before we can make any payouts due to handling costs.
